Musically, this song is very much influenced by my favourite early 2000's Pop-Punk bands, specifically Brand New and Taking Back Sunday. Lots of overlapping backing vocals.
Lyrically, Crumble Away is about me maybe not being a great person and knowing the relationship needs to end so that I don't hurt this person any more.
