I originally wrote this song 2 years ago for part of my final uni project. I created a song in the style of each wave of emo and this is my second wave composition. Inspired by 90's midwest emo bands such as Sunny Day Real Estate. The acoustic riff throughout the song is in FACGCE whilst the rest of the song is in standard tuning.
Lyrically, the song is about unreciprocated love and the loneliness of autumn.

I sat on your bed. And you looked straight at me. I looked to the ground, cause I didn’t know what to say.
I wish I could go back and bare to face you at all. Now I’m in my room, thinking what I was meant to do.

Pictures of you. Laughs and lies come true. Wish that I could hold you in my arms. Back through the door, hoping for more. But it didn’t happen that way.

Looks across the room. Turns away too soon.
The silence in the air, I feel it in my head. It rattles around my skull. Makes my body dull. The autumn leaves are falling in my drive way and you say I think it’s time to leave.
